Coaching Staff... U-12 KRAZE ACADEMY COACHING STAFF
MATT CHILLCOTT - HEAD COACH:
Matt brings his love for the game and his knowledge of teaching to the
Central
Florida
Kraze
Academy as a U12 Head Coach. He has the desire to help the younger players truly understand the game and grow to love it as he does. Matt has an extensive background in both playing and coaching the game.
Some of his playing highlights when growing up were: a state cup championship as a youth player in South Florida; playing with the German American Club in Hollywood Florida as a teenager; being the captain of Nova High’s soccer team; playing in the top division of the Gold Coast League in Ft. Lauderdale; and winning the CFSL championship as a player/manager of Clockwork Orange in the premier open league.
Matt always seemed to be a coach even when he was playing. Matt started coaching/playing when he was a teenager playing indoor soccer. Later he organized and coached an outdoor team in the Gold Coast League. When Matt moved up to
Central Florida he soon put together a men’s team of his own in 1992 that played in the Central Florida Soccer League. The team later became Clockwork Orange that grew into two additional teams (Clockwork & Clockwork Orange II). During that time, Matt also coached Colonial High School for three seasons. After a short break, he returned to high school coaching as an assistant for
Faith
Christian
Academy for two years. Most recently, he has put his energy into coaching his oldest son on the Clockwork Jrs. - now the Kraze Academy Under 12’s.
Matt has been a teacher in the Orange County Public School System for over ten years where he is currently a 5th grade teacher at
Lawton
Chiles
Elementary School . Matt lives in
Orlando with his wife of fifteen years, Renee, and their two children: Aidan (5 years) & Ian (11 years).
